In fact, in present day political discourse, it remains one of the few things universally accepted by all, Global North or Global South, isolated or geo strategically engaged, coloniser or colonised. The integration of the radical and revolutionary far left into Africa's political landscape historically is a topic that continues to remain hugely influential in understanding the development and transition to democracy for Africa and the means by which colonial exploitation and racial discrimination could be better understood. India is a nation that has undergone significant social and economic growt h, which has been significantly influenced by globalisation, westernisation, and past colonial and neo-colonial activities, primarily driven by US and European influences. However, in addition to the main gains from this, which appear to have been geared more towards supporting the capitalist needs of the already economically successful developed world, the traditional values that remain pertinent in Indian society have also appeared to somewhat hinder this development. It is widely regarded that a society governed by communitarian, and socially libertarian values is perhaps more inclined to accept progressive ideas and function with the general public as its main interest. This would thus explain the prevalence of an increasingly secular or non-religious population in such societies, as well as also the generally anti-colonial and indigenous inclusive values defining their policies.
